Implementation Consultant – Europe

To support our significant global growth, we are looking for experienced Business and IT specialists who have a desire to build a long term career with a dynamic software development company to join our European team.  (Preferred location:  Lichfield, Staffordshire however other areas of the United Kingdom will be considered).

A background in or extensive knowledge of CPG manufacturers and Trade Promotions Management processes or IT implementations would be advantageous.

The objective of the Implementation Consultant role is to provide Promax Europe Limited customers with the necessary knowledge, skills and training on the implementation and operation of the Promax PX software products to enable them to realize the maximum value from their investment in those products.

The Implementation Consultant will provide support for customer implementations, pre-sales support and technical support.  At any given time the Implementation Consultants may be called on to assist in achieving any of the objectives of the global Professional Services Department.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible primarily for successful implementation of the Promax PX product, including providing functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction on Promax PX to clients.
  • Assists in the development of the overall project plan (scoping process) as well as individual work plans.
  • Acts as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigates, analyses, and solves software problems.
  • Analyses and maps clients’ business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients’ needs.
  • Maintains/expands client list & builds credible relationships w/ clients, develops own professional learning of Promax products/technologies and solutions to both clients and fellow colleagues.
  • Assists in internal activities – hotline, remote consulting, presales, prepares training materials, teach on-site courses and provide mentoring/support to less experienced colleagues.
  • Participate in a regular program of personal performance review, setting goals and objectives to develop skills and extend capabilities which will improve my value to the company.
  • As a member of the Professional services team take an interest in the overall performance of the company and provide ideas that contribute to its growth and profitable development.

This is a fabulous and varied role where you will be able to work in a capacity that will continue to expand both your technical skills and gain business exposure in some of the world’s leading global CPG brands in industries such as Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical OTC, Household and Personal Care products.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Excellent understanding of Promax solutions and of the consulting business processes and functions.  Outstanding candidates with no Promax experience but with proven experience of developing a consultative knowledge of complex business systems will be considered.
  • Highly developed business acumen.
  • Liaison and consultative skills: negotiating skills within a context of high political sensitivity and conflicting interests.
  • Strong writing, mentoring, decision making, communication, and meeting facilitation skills; ability to utilise a combination of formal authority and persuasion skill sets.
  • Ability to train and mentor other functional consultants.
  • A clear vision of what determines a successful project for the customer and for the enterprise.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear concise and tactful communication with senior executive management, clients, peers and team members.
  • Required undergraduate university degree, preferably in commerce, engineering, information technologies or equivalent training and job experience.
  • Requires minimum of 5 years professional experience w/ a minimum of 2 full years of product/implementation experience.
  • The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline and experience in business process consulting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of the Consumer Packaged Goods industry or Consumer Products industry is required.
  • Specific knowledge of Consumer Products Trade Funds Planning and Promotion Management is required.
  • An understanding of technical architectures is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
