SSRS/SSAS Programmer – Australia

Promax is seeking to recruit a full time SSRS / SSAS Programmer who will ultimately be responsible for the design and documentation of the reporting and data mining aspects of our software and database configuration.

Skills required:

• Required undergraduate university degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent training and job experience.
• Extensive OLAP Cube building and architecture experience
• Very high knowledge of MDX and SQL essential
• Experience in designing cubes based off pre-existing relational schemas
• Min. 3 years’ experience in an SSAS role
• Min. 3 years’ experience in SSRS report creation
• High standard of communication and documentation

Skills desired:

• Experience with DMX and cube architecture to support data mining
• PowerPivot integration
• Experience in performance tuning and cube partition management
• Sharepoint experience
• A can-do attitude with a focus on quality and attention to detail
• Good problem solving skills
• Drive and determination to develop a world class solution
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to train and work together with other members of the Development team as well as the Documentation/Technical writers and Software Testing team to ensure a consistency of presentation, terminologies and documentation language style.
• Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear concise and tactful communication with senior executive management, clients, peers and team members.
