Can Promax PX forecast for customers who don’t have promotional plans or distributors?

Promax PX can provide an ex-factory forecast which will be modelled using previous sales history.

Does Promax PX have the ability to lock production forecasts (by brand or down to packing level) to reflect when changes can’t be affected?


Promax PX has a locked and unlocked forecast. Lead times for the locked forecast can be set globally or by Account/SKU.

The locked forecast calculates by default up until 11:59pm, on the day before the lockout period commences.

Can I forecast by Brand/Category by SKU or Account/State by SKU?

The Promax PX forecasting is configured by the client/consultant to achieve the level required. Forecasts can then be summarised at these levels.

What is the method baseline calculations are based on?

Promax PX supports all of these methods.

  • Average Scan
  • Average EFS
  • Baseline Scan
  • Statistical Models
  • External Data such as Retailer Generated Forecast, supply chain planning system
  • User defined number.

Is baseline seasonality, calculated on history or manual override?

Promax PX calculates base line seasonality based on past sales history. The user also has the ability to override the forecasted seasonality with manual entries if required.

Can I make a baseline adjustment for marketing activity?

Promax PX provides the client with the ability to apply adjustments that either increase or decrease the baselines as a result of marketing events. These adjustments can be centrally maintained if required.

Does Promax PX have the ability to compare current forecast against last year?

Reports on forecasted values and historical values can be created to provide a basis for comparison. See Promax Analytics
